Most routes are back to normal
Travellers flying out of the United Arab Emirates could still face minor disruptions, as some regional routes remain suspended. However, the majority of operations across the country’s major airports have now returned to normal.
Following the temporary closure of UAE airspace on June 23, prompted by regional tensions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised all UAE nationals, residents, and visitors to contact their airlines directly for the latest schedule updates. Dubai Airports

Abu Dhabi – Zayed International Airport
On June 24, Zayed International Airport warned of continued disruptions. However, operations are now back to normal. Etihad flights are running on their usual schedule, but passengers are urged to confirm their flight status online prior to travel.
Sharjah International Airport
Sharjah Airport experienced delays and cancellations due to regional airspace closures. Passengers were advised to check directly with airlines for the most up-to-date information.
As of July 4, Air Arabia has resumed previously suspended flights to Tehran, Shiraz, and Lar. On Thursday, July 10, service will resume between Sharjah and Damascus with two daily flights.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi
Wizz Air has adopted a precautionary approach:
- All flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel suspended until September 15, 2025
- European flights to Amman, Jordan suspended until the same date
- Flights avoid airspace over Israel, Iraq, Iran, and Syria
- Passengers will be contacted directly for rebooking or refunds
