Filipino real estate broker Aquino Plotado has achieved a historic milestone in the UAE’s competitive market. With a Dh1 billion off-plan transaction on Marjan Island, this deal marks one of the region’s most substantial achievements led by a Filipino professional.
The deal, signed with fäm Properties, highlights Plotado’s strategic vision and execution. “This wasn’t just a transaction—it was a strategic alliance,” Plotado told Gulf News. He collaborated with Francesco Ferretti and brought the project to fäm Properties, showing the power of resilience and calculated risk-taking.
His journey began with ambition in 2023 when he nearly closed a Dh1.5 billion hotel deal on the same island. The experience ignited his drive to return stronger. He did, not as an employee, but as an independent broker—and he made history.
“Even then, I knew I could close a billion-dirham deal,” he said. That vision led to a landmark transaction on Ras Al Khaimah’s emerging luxury destination.
Partnering with fäm again marked a personal and professional milestone. “It was a full-circle moment. This deal wasn’t luck—it was built on relationships, risk, and resilience,” Plotado said.
Beyond real estate, Plotado is a storyteller. His short film, As The Call, So The Echo, earned acclaim at the Emirates Film Festival, winning awards including Best Actor and Best Director.
Through his foundation, he donated ₱1 million (Dh64,000), laptops, and bonuses to his former high school in Malabon City, Philippines. “Success means nothing if it doesn’t lift others,” he said.
His real estate career also spans major Dubai neighborhoods, including Dubai Marina, Business Bay, and Palm Jumeirah. These prime locations are part of his growing portfolio of high-impact projects.
